FreeQDRO provides self-help calculation tools and educational content for informational use. It does not provide legal advice, does not practice law, and is not a law firm or a substitute for one. Using it, or contacting us through it, creates no attorney-client relationship. Applying general legal information to your own situation is the practice of law; for advice about your specific facts, consult a licensed Nevada attorney. Court outcomes depend on facts and judicial discretion we can’t know.

No warranty - accuracy is not guaranteed

We work to reflect current Nevada law and cite our sources, and the calculation logic is open-source and peer-reviewable. Even so, the site, the calculators, and every figure and result they produce are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranty of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. To the maximum extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, including the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and accuracy, and any warranty that a result is correct, current, complete, or suitable for your purpose. Laws and published rate tables change, and errors are possible. You are responsible for verifying every result against the primary sources we cite - the governing statutes, the published rate tables, and the underlying orders and records - before relying on it or filing it.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for the inputs you provide and how you use the results. Don’t rely on FreeQDRO as your sole basis for a legal decision.

Document assembly

Some tools assemble a draft legal document from your answers using fixed, source-cited language. Drafts are self-help document assembly, not legal advice: you choose every option, you are responsible for reviewing the result, and a court or plan administrator may require changes. Having a licensed Nevada attorney review any document before you file it is strongly recommended.

Acceptable use

Use the site lawfully. Don’t attempt to disrupt it, scrape it abusively, or misuse other users’ information.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will FreeQDRO, its operators, contributors, or licensors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any lost profits or loss arising from your use of or inability to use the site or its output, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or relating to the site or its output is limited to the amount you actually paid to use the site in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim - which, for users of the free tools, is $0.00. These limits apply to all theories of liability, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability, or otherwise.

Some limits may not apply to you

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation or exclusion of certain damages. To that extent, the exclusions and limitations above may not apply to you, and nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law. The disclaimers and limitations in these terms apply to the fullest extent permitted and survive any termination of your use of the site.
